Children lessons (Newborn-18yrs) are tailored specifically to each individual, in order to maximize learning, growth, and progress.

General Information

Each lesson is different, with many movement variations customized to the needs and skills level of each client.  The purpose of the sessions is to bring about transformation through experiential learning.

Please ask about INTENSIVE BLOCK lessons if you are interested- these schedule out months in advance. INTENSIVE BLOCKS are 6-10 lessons in 3-5 days for maximum outcome.

What can I expect in my Child's lesson?

Anat Baniel Method Neuromovement lessons are gentle, slow and enjoyable for the child. Your child is never asked to do what they can’t, rather the practitioner works with them where they are with a flexible approach to specific goals. This ensures that your child learns positive, successful experiences rather than repeated failures. Possibilities begin to emerge organically as your child’s brain takes the information provided in the lesson and uses it to map and organize increasingly skillful ways to move, feel, and think.

How ARE THE lessons GIVEN?

Lessons are typically given on a low table, or for children who are not ready to be on a table, in the parent’s lap. After the first few lessons an appropriate frequency for lessons becomes more apparent. Each lesson lasts about 35 – 45 minutes and they are scheduled hourly.

When will I see a change in my Child?

While each child is different, in most cases the changes begin after the first lesson. These small shifts and changes are the signal that your child’s brain is forming new neural connections and they are the precursors of the larger changes that will come over time.

How many lessons does my Child need?

Sometimes a weekly lesson is perfect, other times a group of 6 -10 lessons given over 3 to 5 days is recommended  this is called an intensive.  It is always your child’s needs that determine the number and frequency of lessons.

WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR?

Please make sure to have your child dressed in comfortable non restricting clothing and please bring a snack.

Brain work makes you hungry!
